How it works: Automated Appointment Reminders

  1. All appointments with an activated appointment type for the related resource are harvested on a nightly basis and create reminder records.
  2. The CMQ platform sends reminders (Voice, SMS or email) at night between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
  3. Alerts contain:
    • Name of patient;
    • Name of clinic;
    • Name of medical practitioner;
    • Date and time of the appointment.
  4. Audio messages are built using text to speech.
  5. When the last alert is successfully completed, the status of the appointment will be updated to “Confirmed”.
  6. Retroaction allows patients to cancel an appointment by pressing a number on their phone or by clicking on a link in the email.

NOTE: Currently, retroaction is not available for SMS alerts.
